Deemed Universities are better in terms of placement and they call companies offering higher packages.
Hello,
BA in economics will definitely help you in understanding basic concepts of economics.
Best wishes to you.
Since the cutoff of CSE branch is more than other branches so to get it in NIT is not possible but you could take any other branches to get into NITs and if you'll work hard in first year then you'll definitely be upgraded to higher branches like CSE based on your performance.
Sorry to inform you but you won't get any branch at this rank in IEM, and you may get core branches in Heritage in 3rd round.
On comparing with Chandigarh University, GEU University is too small in terms of students, campus environment. The academic achievements too are good in CU than GEU.
Dear Abhiseck,
Below is the list of computer science college in Kolkata:
1. University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata
2. Future Institute of Technology
3. Amity University, Kolkata
4. West Bengal University of Technology
5. Techno India Group (TIG, Kolkata)
Getting a job in Google or Microsoft is not easy, these two companies recruit very few students and has around 6 rounds of interview, both the companies take around 10 students each from SRM University.
At this rank you cannot get any good private or government college. I will suggest you to take direct admission either in AKGEC, ABES EC, JSS Noida or in RKGIT or IMS Ghaziabad. These colleges have good reputation in AKTU for their academics and placements.
Always go for that institute that along with your technical skills provides you a platform to even enhance your practical knowledge.i have heard a lot about this university-about its infrastructure ,tie-ups, placements .This year this university set a record for the highest number of selection in IT company CTS on the single day of placements. Moreover they also lay stress on the Entrepreneurial skills that make their students an efficient manager.
With this, there is great chance of getting CSE in ABES, RKGiT, IMS , Indraprastha. But, try in all rounds of counseling who knows, you will get better than these colleges, like Galgotias University and KIET.
What's your rank? It totally depends on your rank.

Hi Sachin,
Hope you are doing good. It is absolutely fine to select computer Science even if you don't have computer in your 12th. But just make sure you get habituated with using computer. Also in your free time start learning any basic programming language like C, Python etc. Hope this helps you. If you have any queries please feel free to ask.
Hi Vaishali, with those grades you should also try applying to a top university like University of Waterloo, Simon Fraser University, Ryerson University , McMaster University, Dalhousie University etc .Columbia College is a popular college but give a shot at some of the top ones too.
ABESEC is the right choice, as they mainly focus on academics and placements.
BIT, Jaipur is an extension center of BIT Mesra which is the main campus. As we know it's a private institution on another hand Gurukul Kangri is government institute. Both are really good but placement for CSE in BIT is really good.
If you mind with placements only then it's pretty good and obviously one of the best in Rajasthan. MNIT's curriculum is decent enough to make you capable to industries. But being an MNITian I feel that there is a lack of coding environment in our campus. For CSE students, having rank on Code Chef, etc. matters and you'll not find much MNITian there. So choose wisely, either you want to pursue CSE course and get a job or you wish to be a coder.
