Yes, IIT Allahabad is still having that much potential, you should give preference to it. Although it will require you to score a really good score to get admitted as compared to NIT's. Placements totally depends on your attitude and your knowledge in the domain. So, work on that and you need not to worry about the placements.
All the best!

Great infrastructure and well-equipped digital classrooms. Placements: 90% students get placed in companies. The highest package is 45LPA (international), and 23LPA (national). Some mass recruiters like wipro, and tcs recruit around 60% students. The Wi-Fi in colleges are average. They use smart boards in classrooms. The money we spend on our course is worth because we get proper involvement from the faculty side in academics side and they make sure they meet the needs of each and every student.

Knowledge is meant to be shared,

See, the curriculum of almost all the colleges of same course is same and you won't find any major difference in the curriculum. The main thing that matters the most is the skills through which you will get the job and the companies that visit the college that will provide you the quality in the placements.

You don't need to attempt EAMCET examination to enter into GITAM University. GITAM had conferred the status of deemed university in 2007. So, GITAM has nothing to do with your EAMCET examination. However, attempting the GAT examination would give you a seat in any course you desire and yes you can get into GITAM without writing GAT exam. It is through management quota also know as NRI quota, you need to pay an extra fee depending upon the number of seats available. Just visit the GITAM university to know the exact amount of money you have to pay.
Hope this helps.

You are a 17 year old, who has the two given options (considering you are from Delhi). Jamia is a central university, so the administrative staff takes "things easy". This means, along with 2 coders, you will have 2-3 core companies (selecting 5 students each), with an odd exception of some consulting (mind you these consulting firms are open for all branches. This scenario is only valid for electronics). There is a very strong chance you will land up with a coder. The silver lining, which I could see, from such scarce opportunities (in terms of placement) is learning stuff and finding new interests to zeal upon.

Dear Manisha,
Right now, BMSIT is the better college. It has awesome infrastructure and good teachers. There’s no strict rule in place and there is a pretty chilled out and friendly atmosphere with the faculty and students. The placements are great. Last year 19.7 lakhs was the highest package.

Well, I think you must try for other government colleges as the seats are too less. You may try Purulia Government Engineering College, Coochbehar Government Engineering College, etc.
