Hello pratap,
Scoring in SRMJEEE is easier when compared to other exams. But your rank should be good as it is a very competitive exam.
To get CSE at the SRM University main campus, your rank should be below 1000.

That depends upon whether you are a student from the home state or a candidate from other than home state. You see, there is a reservation for the students who belong to the home state I.e, Jharkhand itself. If you want to lookup the opening and closing ranks for 2016 use this: http://josaa.nic.in/Result2016/result/OpeningClosingRank.aspx

The placements at VIT are way much good compared to all the other colleges. The college and faculty are preparing all the students to get placed in all of the leading companies. VIT has also set a record for placing the most number of students in a single year. The placements are good, and the salary packages are nice. We know about the dream and super dream companies. Dream company means it offers more than 10 lakhs per annum and super dream company means it offers 30 lakhs per annum. If you want to get a job in super dream company, then you have to maintain CGPA 9 in every semester.

Hello Kapil,
Both the branches are good and have better scope in future. But, its better to take CSE as many students are taking CSE branch in low grade college but they can't do good, but you are getting Thapar University so it is good to take CSE Branch.

The admission procedure to the university is simple. You can get admission here either thorough MU-OET (An entrance exam conducted by Manipal itself or through JEE, previous one carries more weightage though. JEE marks can get you admission here but cannot guarantee the desired branch. Hence MUOET is recommended. Exam form will be available to you mostly in January, keep an eye on it.

Based on the previous year's cutoffs, it seems that you may have a chance of getting admission in VIT for CSE. The closing rank for CSE was 28000 in 2022. However, the cutoffs vary every year, and it is difficult to predict the exact cutoff for this year. You can check the official website of VIT for more information on the admission process and cutoffs. As for whether you should consider joining VIT, it depends on various factors such as your interests, career goals, location preference, etc. You can research more about the college and its facilities to make an informed decision.
