To get CSE at the SRM University main campus, your rank should be below 1000.

Yes, you can get CSE in CV Raman College of Engineering but with that rank you can also get CSE in IGIT, etc and many more in government engineering college. Both the branches are good and have better scope in future. But, its better to take CSE as many students are taking CSE branch in low grade college but they can't do good, but you are getting Thapar University so it is good to take CSE Branch.

The admission procedure to the university is simple. You can get admission here either thorough MU-OET (An entrance exam conducted by Manipal itself or through JEE, previous one carries more weightage though. JEE marks can get you admission here but cannot guarantee the desired branch. Hence MUOET is recommended. Exam form will be available to you mostly in January, keep an eye on it.

I would suggest that you opt for the MNNIT for CSE. MNNIT for CSE branch has more qualified faculty members, good & improved labs and best placements, but DAIICT is also a good college.
