Hello Guru, dynamics of seat allotments is unfathomable for second and subsequent rounds. It all basically depends on how students view a particular college and branch. Hence I would advise you to not loose hope and hope for the best.

There will be two JEE Main exam this year. First one was in January month and second one will be in the month of April. National Testing agency will release percentile score for both the exam. Better of them will be considered. According to this percentile score, NTA will release JEE Main rank for every students. Then, after counselling process will be started by Joint seat allocation authority(according to last year). Last year, there were 7 rounds and 2 special rounds in counselling process. After completing counselling process every student have to report their respective allocated college.

You have to score +75% in board exams as well to get admission in NIT as the cut-off of this year for general category is 81. So, you have to score more than that.

CSE might be down after few decades, but mechanical isn’t. You should choose mechanical if you are a hardcore type. As a matter of fact CSE has high demand compared to mechanical right now. Just go with your heart and mind.

There are two approaches you may follow. Firstly if you are considering a very highly paid job at initial and considering your interest go for IIEST. Second, if you concerned about the tags and connectivity and secure job offers go for electrical at MANIT.
