It depends upon that what branch of Finance fascinates you more. CMA (Certified Management Account) is more concerned with managerial accounting. And CFP (Certified Financial Planner) is for portfolio planning of clients. There is one more in the list I. e. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) which consist more towards Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of Business Finance. ICAI has announced some changes in CA IPCC syllabus. In new scheme there are 8 papers for IPCC exam.
Changes in CA IPCC cost accounting and financial management:
1) Costing exam is of 100 marks (Group 1)
2) Financial management exam is of 100 marks (Group 2)
Changes in CA IPCC law paper:
1) Communication of law paper 20 marks has removed from CA IPCC law paper.
2) Business law of 30 marks removed from CA IPCC.
3) Marks weightage of company act has increased to 60 marks.
4) Other laws is for 20 marks and ethics for 20 marks.

BFM course refers to Bachelor in financial markets which is a three year specialization course offered by Mumbai University. It mainly deals with financial markets, markets behavior, etc.
BAF refers to Bachelor in Accountancy and Finance which is also a three year specialization course offered by Mumbai University.
If one has affinity to accounting, book keeping, economics and pursuing CA or some professional degree I would suggest to opt for BAF as course curriculum is defined in similar way to that.

CMA is a course offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI). It is a course alternate to CMA and has the same value as CA but when compared to it, CMA has more subjects on cost, management accounting, etc.

There is no particular stream for commerce students.The eligibility depends on the type of course that you wish to pursue, the details of some courses is stated below:
Diploma Class 10th pass from a recognised board with minimum 40% marks.
Bachelors Degree: Class 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks.
Post-graduation degree: Bachelors degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks.
Graduate & PG programmes may also require you to appear in entrance exams such as NCHMCT, AIMA UGAT, E-CHAT, etc.

Good evening,
CA is always better option, but it would be more beneficial if you go for a CA course along with the private or regular Bachelor’s degree. It will add more value to your learnings. Also, you need not study the two separately, focusing on CA will oy serve the purpose for both.

CA is a quite professional certification. It actually depends upon your understanding and expertise of the subject matter. You get a large scope of opportunities on successfully completing it. However, the salary depends on your negotiating capacity. However, an initial package for a CA can somewhere land up around 6-8 LPA. This is my personal view about the package that I have observed.

Yes, if you have scored 55% or more in B.Com, you are eligible to pursue Chartered Accountancy Professional Course under direct entry scheme. This scheme is also applicable for candidates who have passed Intermediate examination of ICMAI or ICSI.

1. If you are interested in accounts, you can do CA along with your B.Com.
2. If you are interested in management courses like marketing or HR, then you can opt for BBA.
3. For private jobs, B.Com or BBA will not give you good position. You need to study MBA, CA or B.Ed.
