Yes, Kanpur Institute of Technology also provides B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry) for Diploma students. Candidates need to possess a relevant Diploma in engineering with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates). Admission will be given based on JEECUP rank and according to the UPTAC counseling process. The course permits students to join the course directly in the second year and gives industry-oriented training.

Well, as of last year (2016), the closing rank was below 10K if applying for a seat through TS EAMCET.
But there's always a JEE Mains seat and a management seat. Try your luck.
And trust me, KMIT is a great college for CSE.

Since you have very less board marks, you are not likely to get into it(assuming you are from general).
Also, compare your JEE mains marks with the last year's CSE cutoff.
Category Opening_Rank (HS) Closing_Rank (HS) Opening_Rank (AI) Closing_Rank (AI)
General 36088 - 61968 - 11353 - 27087
Schedule Caste 7972 - 10142 - 4193 - 5599
Schedule Tribe 33023 - 73029 - 762 - 976
General Person with Disability 2069 -3021 - NA - NA
Other Backward Class 24097 - 28242 - 6403 - 9673
Hope it helps.

Hi Sourav,
UTM-Shillong, campus of MIT-Pune, is the best option to pursue B.Tech in CSE. Affordable fee structure, better education, hands-on training, and better placement opportunities. One of my close friends, graduated last year from UTM, thus this is my personal experience. If you really want a better career in engineering this is the place for you. It is next to impossible to get CSE at this rank in category 2 as chances are there to get it finished before 20k rank in Chennai and Vellore campus. You may get ECE in category 3/4 possibly but again that is depends on day one counselling. If you need more information kindly pm me further. Keep follow and upvote
Best of luck.

You must have rank under 100-150 in your category(ST). Score stats are different every year since the paper pattern is not fixed. But you should have scored atleast 45-50% marks for that.

If you want the experiential learning classes with strong faculty support, then I personally think that Thapar University is the best option for you. My cousin studied there and he told us about the Thapar University legacy and their new way of explaining theories. At Thapar University, one can not only read and remember the theories, but he/she can experience and learn that theory which I think is the most important thing in studying any course.
