Your JEE score is nice but chances of getting this college might be low. As the college mainly takes admission through MHTCET. Only 15% seats are allotted through the JEE Mains score.

Hi Prem,
I hope you are doing good! For the rank you have got, you can easily get a seat through counselling in both the branches you wanted, based on the last rank in the college for those branches last year in your category. I cannot confirm you that but yes, you will definitely get it if you opt for it. Thank for the interest. For any other assistance, feel free to ask. :-)

Hello Shambhavi,
As per my knowledge, colleges in India have eligibility criteria for b tech that is the student should be passed with PCM subjects. If not, then they are not eligible to take admission in B.Tech. But surely, you can do B.Tech in biotechnology.

I am really happy that you have broached a good query. Admissions to any engineering college these days is only via some or the other entrance test. Also, trend of students is bid for IT or CSE. Thus, who ever score very well in entrance exam, only have good chance of getting admission in this branch.

COEP is Maharashtra's best college. Walchand is also a very good college if you want particular branch and you are not getting in COEP then you should go for Walchand, but I think you should always think for COEP since you will get more industry oriented knowledge and also in Pune there are various companies so you can get job opportunities in Pune itself.
