<p>One of the most popular student majors at Assam University is computer Science and engineering. Assam University's BTech placement rates, however, are lower than those of other state and central universities. Nevertheless, compared to other disciplines offered under the BTech programme at Assam University, the CSE discipline in particular is significantly superior.</p><p>Applicants must sit the JEE-Main test to be considered for admission to the BTech programme in Computer Science Engineering (CSE). To be qualified for Assam University's counselling process, they must obtain a respectable rank.</p>
Both branches are quite similar. IT & CSE both are in demand in market. IT deals with use of computer applications, electronic components, data processing and all that but CSE deals with the Science behind it. You should know how the application is made and how it can be made suitable for various needs as required. CSE mostly deals with software and internal issues. CSE students must have deep interest in coding while for IT is not that much necessary but both have to learn some extent of coding. IT is for job purpose only while with CSE you can get job, start your own startup in future, make your own something. So, I always suggest you to... View more
Hello Vamsi,
Unfortunately, every state is restricting admissions to only domiciles of that state. So is Tamil Nadu. Hence, I feel you have almost no chance of getting admission here. However, I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about eligibility.

Best of luck.
It majorly depends upto you what you want and what are your preferences. Banasthali Vidyapith is Asia's largest fully residential only women's university. Whereas, if you want to enjoy some freedom along, then Banasthali is not the place for you as they are very strict with their leave guidelines. Faculty of Banasthali is very nice. You will have ample of opportunities, you just need the curiosity to harness them.
Getting admission in B.Tech computer Science branch does not depend on the fact that you had computer Science subject in 12 th class or not. For getting admission in engineering your JEE Main or JEE Advance rank matters.
Yes, you will get CSE in JSS/AKGEC. Your rank is good, maybe you have to wait for the 2nd or even 3rd counselling round.
Good luck.
The best colleges for IT engineering in Mumbai are-
1. IIT Bombay
2. University of Mumbai.
Hi Tharun,
I am happy to help you here.
According to my point of view, the faculty of CSE was excellent if we are able to utilise them as per the need and also others.
Your board percentage in PCM should be above 50% and also you should appear for VITEEE. If your rank is under 550 you stand a chance to get admission in VIT for CSE branch.
Go for RTU in Kotak.
