For GK, read current affairs related articles and magazines. You must read the newspaper, as you may get questions on politics, economics, and business/finance. Most of the B schools accepting MAT scores keep a sectional cut off for GK. Scoring well in this adds to your scores. Dedicating 15 minutes is a sufficient time to answer this section.

Hours allotted for each subject should depend on your interest in that subject and time taken by you to understand concepts. Normally, subject that we like, we understand immediately. I feel, 4 to 6 hours of dedicated study each day is enough.

LLB Entrance Exam are two type, 1st 5 year integrated course and second 3 year LLB Course.
For 5 year integrated course, you have to appear for Common Law Admission test.
Sub : Legal Studies, English, Maths, Reasoning and GK.

If you aren't prepared for this year then take a drop. But whether the result after drop will be good or bad depends on you.

The best book for preparation of MAT and CAT is Arihant Publications book "Face to Face” that costs nearly INR 500. For CAT the best book is The Complete CAT Digest by Tata McGraw Hill that costs nearly INR 1000.
