M.Sc in life sciences, any stream (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology or Microbiology) with at least 55% marks for general (you) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. Now, B.Tech or M.Tech biotechnology students are also eligible.
M.Sc, B.Tech or M.Tech final year students can also apply.

No, you are not eligible for M.Sc in GIS and remote sensing. Even you are not eligible for any science stream post-graduation degree after BA as it is an arts stream course.

Candidates seeking admission into M.Sc should have passed BA/B.Sc or equivalent degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University/Institute with First Class and not less than 60% aggregate marks (of all the years) or equivalent CGPA of 6.5/10. Yes, you can apply for IIT JAM Exam. You need a graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC and 50% marks for SC, ST categories.
