<p>These are two very different courses and each has its own value and job prospects.You can study Environment Studies, however the fields of Nutrition is exponentially growing, so <strong>it would be better if you take up nutrition and food subjects</strong>.Although environment has more prospects for future and less demand at present but Food Science would always be demanding.</p>

IIT JAM is the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc, PhD or other dual degree courses.

The jobs are plenty. You may take NET for assistant professor ship or go in research sector.
Actuarial Sciences is another sector, where insurance companies require data analysts.
Opening in software sector are numerical analysis in computer system design, operation research, software programming, etc. Some of the companies recruiting candidates after M.Sc Mathematics are Oracle, Microsoft, Google, etc. The candidates can find job opportunities abroad as well.

The higher studies options after M.Sc zoology are:-
1. Master of Philosophy in Zoology
2. Master of Philosophy in Life Science
3. Ph.D. in Zoology
4. Ph.D. in Life Science - If you want to be a lecturer, you can appear for NET (National Eligibility Test) after your M.Sc. You could also try to get a government job for which entrance exams are available.

There is not too much scope of Biotechnology in India recently. But, after pursuing your Biotechnology degree, if you go aboard there is high scope of it. If you want to grow your career by living in India, then Environmental Science is better option.
