Hi Sreedhar, Since you have not mentioned the educational background, I would still mention the basic qualification become a software engineer. A software engineer is basically the one working for an IT firm (Service provider/application product provider). You need to complete your class 12th with PCM (mandatory) to be eligible to pursue a technical course most commonly B.Tech. However, BCA/MCA graduates also apply for a technical jobs in engineering. Hi Priyajit, your 12th score is good. Taking into consideration for taking admission in engineering you have to score atleast 50% in PCM group i.e. physics chemistry and maths. Now, have a look at your score in these 3 subjects. Calculate score and check whether you score above 50%.

Do BCA or B.Tech with CSE. These are the two best ways to become an engineer. Also, there are other courses like B.Sc. etc. in IT and computers but that will not make you an engineer. You can also pursue diploma or certification courses too.
Hi Darshan, to study in Germany you must complete 13 years education. After your 12th clear your IIT JEE Advanced to be eligible or you can complete the first year of a Bachelor degree. Overally you must be a very highly academic student, around 80% and above is recommended. You must also learn German language, take the IELTS or the TOEFL. It depends on your interest only. Software engineering course is available as an undergraduate degree also. It is primarily the study of the software, coding, programming, etc. You can directly do that and you can easily succeed if you are good in coding and basics. You also need creativity and innovation for more advanced coding.
In case of CSE, it focuses on all aspects of computers like computer architecture, data analytics and coding. So you may opt for anything according to your interest.
If you have cleared your 12th in arts with 63.5% then you have to pursue Diploma in engineering in CSE (3-years) and then you can get lateral entry in 2nd year of B.Tech in software engineering.
You have following options to become IT engineer:
(a) B.Tech CSE / IT
(b) BCA-MCA
(c) B.Sc-M.Sc CS/ IT
(d) Diploma in Computer Science
(e) DOEACC Certifications

There are two ways to become computer science engineer after class 12th:
1. Appear in IIT or JEE and enroll in B.Tech with computer science.
2. Do BCA then MCA from a recognized universities.

I am very glad to know that you are so much interested. Take PCM in class 12th, preparing for IIT is not compulsory but if you want, you can, if you will go for IIT for your further technical degree than its fine, if you didn't get that then go to any of the top private colleges, after the completion of your technical degree, you can apply as a junior software engineer in ISRO. They will help you to pursue your further higher education.
You may evaluate doing M.Tech in Software Systems from BITS Pilani WILP. It is two years distance learning program with acceptability in IT industry. You are eligible to do this course.
