It is very poor.
I have lived in the hostel for one year two years back.
Half of the times, something or the other was not working like the water filter or washing machine, etc.
The food was not good.
The boys hostel was even worse.
A few of my friends complained that in boys hostel, they don't even have a washing machine.
Even though, during admission, they were told they will have washing machine, fridge, TV, etc.

There are some universities that conduct a common entrance test for admission into different PG courses. On the other hand there are universities which do not.
