Hello Ashiely,
You have posed a very interesting query. Frankly speaking, one can appear for any subject in GATE if seeking admission in PG. It all depends on how much you know the topic. Even CS expert can appear for Biotech. But the questions will be all related to topics covered in graduation. Hence if you can score marks, then surely you can get admission.

<p>With that kind of score, you may absolutely get into reputable universities! You can apply to IITs like IIT Delhi, where the cutoff in 2024 is 93.23, or you can consider other IITs like IIT Banglore, IIT Allahabad, and IIT Hyderabad. Alternatively, you can choose NITS, like NIT Calicut, NIT Warangal. In addition, there is JMI (Delhi), DTU New Delhi, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), and VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology).</p>

Hi Vishnu, you can get admission in AKGEC for computer science if you could manage UPSEE rank under 4k. Since CS department has enough seats you can also apply for admission on the basis of your board percentage along with JEE Mains marks and UPSEE rank, if your upsee rank is above 4k.
For any further queries feel free to ask and I would try my best to solve them.
All the best!

As you go on, you'll be introduced to more complex coding methods, including Prolog, Scheme, and machine code, also known as assembly language programming. At first, you can expect to input basic ... If you are comparing these two branches on the basis of placements or higher studies then you must be aware that preference is given to a student from CSE background than an IT student.
This is because a student from CSE is supposed to be familiar with all concepts of subjects offered in IT but it's not the other way around.
Hope you found this answer useful.

In my view, REC - Bijnor is good for CS. Don't go for spot round. You know what makes a difference is how much hard work you do, whether it is whichever college.

42 marks in JEE Mains are very low if you belong to general category specially. Because with these marks, you won't be able to get any government college in your state. Instead you can try for state college counselling happening every year where you can get college based on your state rank and JEE marks. Add the college WITH CSE Branch in it if any criteria of college matches your marks then you will get the CSE.

You won't get seat in any NITs. Because your percentile is not fulfilling the required cut off. So please choose IIITs or GFTIs according to your percentile by seeing last year cut-offs.
All the best for your future.

The admission for M.Sc. CS in NIT Trichy is strictly based on entrance test known as IIT JAM. But to appear in IIT JAM exam the candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying degree examination for OC/OBC/OCPWD/OBCPWD candidates and 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/SCPWD/STPWD candidates.
