Drop your year if you only want to do MBBS through NEET. Go for a private college, if affordable. Otherwise, take admission to some graduate course and alongside prepare for NEET.
Taking drop really doesn't benefit for most students according to my interactions with them. I am talking about most students although there are students who score more than what they achieved previously. You said you worked really hard and got 250-300 then It will not make a big difference if you take drop.
