Hi Akash,
The answer will depend on the type of job you want to do in future. Even when you apply to a university they will ask you your career plans and why you want to do the course, so you first decide what you want to be and then we can suggest you further.
What type of jobs are you looking for? Always have a career plan first before deciding what to study. Besides, your grades are very low so I would suggest you work for 2 to 3 years, explore your interests and future plans, prepare for GRE or GMAT and opt for an MBA. If you do good in your GRE or GMAT and have a quality work experience your low grades will not affect much. You must really work hard to get a job abroad. Best of Luck.
Hell Bas,
Total fee to be paid to ICAI for whole course comes to around Rs 50,000.00.
If you join coaching classes, fee would be near about 1 lakh to 2 lakhs from CPT to Final.
During article-ship training, you will get from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 10000 depending about city of training and level of the firm.
So, if you take all the four years and calculate the cost, it would be not much and may be you can earn more than your spending.
UCOMPLETE FIRST cpt after that give ipc a n b group after u do articleship for 2or 1 year under ur c.a n finally give d ca exam that was very difficult

Hi Hiren, for CA and CS age is not the matter to be concerned instead whether you have a mind to study hard or not. Since you are a graduate, in case of CA you can opt direct entry to IPCC so that you don't have to bother about CPT. But you have to complete 9 months of articleship, orientation and ITT before giving IPCC.
Apply for CPT for CA.

There are multiple options. You can pursue B.Com, Economic Honours or CA. Don't go with CA just because everyone is enrolling in it. Research about it. CA involves alot of hard work and dedication. If you can give your 100% along with lot of patience then pursue it. Else do your graduation and go for MBA.
Dear Ankita,
Generally, it differs from firm to firm. But still on an average, you can expect somewhere around 30k to 35K and if joins Big-4 then you can expect 40K around. Rest depends upon your communication skills and number of attempts.
Good luck.
It depends on your interest.
B.Com, BBA and BMS are good courses along with CA because it is related to commerce. Even, engineering and science background students can pursue CA.
All the best.

Hi Sheena, With an academic Master’s degree in commerce, you must go for a professional degree now to make your career full proof. We have Indian professional qualifications like CA or ICWA, which are quite long term and hectic.

I would rather suggest you to go for an international professional accounting credential like US CMA or CPA, which are quite short termed, but have great value in Indian and international Job market.

For the purpose of Accountancy, you will really need to work a lot. Rest everything can be managed easily as its not that difficult. But accountancy expands with every year and subjects such as Financial Management, cost accounting, etc have been nightmares for various students. Though if one works hard, he could do it.
CA is a professional degree and have good scope. Students have good opportunities of jobs in private and government sectors or even he can starts his own practice. The following are the scope of CA as under.
1. Can offers their services in capital market.
2. Can join in government, PSUs and private sectors.
3. Can even practice abroad also.
4. Can starts his own practices.
Hi,
In my opinion, you should join a job with related field. You can also do some certified courses such as:
1. Taxation course.
2. Corporate accounting.
3. Cost accounting.
4. Management accounting.
If you are able to handle your SSC and your sole aim is to do CA then start going for the coaching of CPT exam.
Otherwise, after School also you can go for that course. Most of the students go for this option.
Also, if you want to do Graduation alongside preparation of CA then there is always an option to do graduation (B.Com or BBA) from Distance/Correspondence.
I think I have cleared your doubts.
If you've got more queries then kindly revert.

Choosing CA is a very good career option for your future.
CA consists of 3 levels: CPT, IPCC and final.
IPCC has 2 groups: group 1 & 2.
Final also has 2 groups: group 1 & 2.
You are required to start 3 years of articleship (internship) under a recognised chartered accountancy firm, once you pass one group of IPCC. You go through rigorous training in the articleship which gives you a lot of industry knowledge and hands-on work experience which is very important for your future work. Some people take up a dummy articleship but those people face a lot of problems in the future as they have all the knowledge but they don't kn... View more
