It depends on the state which you belong to. To get a MBBS government college From All India quota you have to score more than 615/720 in NEET. The cutoff tends to increase every year. And from state it can go down to 520 in state like Goa Maharashtra and 620 in Bihar and Uttar pardesh.

With these marks only sc/St candidates hold a chance that too 50%) chances in case of government medical college, if you are from OBC category which is next to open you should try getting atleast 430-440 marks, you will get Government College (Only if your state is participating). If not the case, then 500+ is safe.

As per MCI guidelines, the minimum cut-off to appear in NEET is 50% for general category and 40% for OBC/SC/ST Category. Since, you are eligible to sit for the NEET and weightage will be given to the NEET rankings at the time of admissions, it is best you concentrate on NEET and gives your best.

Hi aspirant, since you have 170 marks in your NEET exam so it will be not possible to take admission in any government medical colleges. The difference comes on the type of medical course you want to get and what you will get. Otherwise, overall, you can surely take admission in a private college.
