An Aspiring Writer & Podcast Host,

You need a strong reference along with application with equally well interviews in some cases and must have a good explanation for your pause. The better you show social responsibility works link in NGOs and such, higher the chances you have in comparison to others, if your social welfare jobs were really impressive in terms of impact.

The most common route to this course is through direct entry. A merit list is prepared on the basis of scores in the under graduation programme and selection is made accordingly. This admission procedure is followed by all the universities. There are some universities which conduct their entrance tests for the purpose of taking admissions. Banaras Hindu University conducts post graduate entrance exam for taking admissions for postgraduate course in botany. University of Rajasthan holds Joint Entrance Test for admissions in Master courses with a 70% weight assigned to entrance and the rest to academic record of qualifying exam. Entrance Mod... Currently, it is quite difficult to obtain a visa for USA by anyone. Students are in a little bit better position to obtain Visa if their documents are solid and if they have good scores. F1 Student Visa will be required for you. Check out this link for more information. https://studyabroad.shiksha.com/usa-student-visa-guide-applycontent5762.

Hi Aswin,
Yes, it matters. But also it depends on the university how strictly it checks the backlogs and how much weightage they give. Your final scores will also be checked and that is more important. Canada is difficult, they don't accept backlogs, not upto 11. You check options in Europe. A strong SOP and good LORs are recommended.

Dear TejaPriya,
Since your background is biotechnology, it may be a challenge to get into Masters in other streams, however, if you have the aptitude then try for information technology or computer science as both have a fair chance for employment. Also, take a course of 2-year duration as anything lesser will not make you eligible for a post-study work visa and PR later. All the best.
