Unless you had PCM at +2 stage you can not do Mechanical Engineering.
There are many good colleges in India for commerce like Sri Ram College in Delhi, St. Xavier Mumbai, etc., but the requirements to get admission into these colleges is extremely high. If money is not a concern for you then apply for BA in business or economics from some American or Canadian university.
You can do professional courses like MBA or CA.

-FOUNDATION
-IPCC
-FINAL
If you are a class 12 student or have passed class 12 then you can register yourself with ICAI for the foundation. If you are a graduate, you can opt direct entry so that you don't have to give foundation.
Hi Ziya, You did a good job. I suggest you to go for a plain BCom now and parallely take preparation for International Professional qualifications in Finance like CMA (US) or CPA (US) or ACCA(UK). Write the exams, just after your graduation. This will help you enter into the corporate sector within 4 years from now. All the best!
you need plus two as the minimum qualification for doing CA
India is a very good place to do B.Com (Hons.) You may try to get admission in colleges such as SRCC, St Stephen's-Delhi University etc. Campus placement records of these colleges for B.Com (Hons.) graduates is excellent. You are advised to evaluate doing PG abroad if you can afford it.
You are eligible to do CA and your not so good performance in 10th & 12th board will not impact your career as CA. You are advised to put your soul and heart into CA studies to excel and get CA certification.
Hi Aparna, I think you are curious to know about CWA instead of CWS. If you are a class 12 student or have completed class 12 then you can register yourself with ICMAI to appear for CAT, which is the preliminary stage of CWA.

Both courses have their own reputation. So it depends on who you want to be.
Unfortunately, IIT does not offer any graduation degree courses for Commerce students.

Give CAT, IIFT and XAT to take admission in core finance or you can choose PGDBF (banking finance) offered by ICICI bank, Baroda bank, Syndicate bank etc. in Manipal University. Along with B.Com, you can pursue certificate in accounting technician course from ICMAI (CMA) or SAP in finance and accounts from a recognised institute. Thereafter, you will have good job opportunites in different companies if not, then you can appear for SSC, UPSC, and bank PO exams.
Certificate in Computerized Accounting / Tally , Certified Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Professional etc. are some add on courses

Yes, you can take Hindi as an additional subject. But, you should take mathematics subject, if you want to pursue CA as mathematics plays an important role in CA.
