For that you have to work extremely hard. Your one year drop should be effective utilization of the time to crack. If you think you can do it take a drop. If you can't then continue with regular work. And study side-by-side as it will improve your work experience which is counted in the industry.

I don't think that is possible. I think by now, classes would have started and in SASTRA, no seats will be left by now and if you had missed the counseling, then there is no way because when the classes start they don't take in new admissions. Mostly with 75% in HSC it's impossible. I had 97%, only 10 seats were left in my department and it was 2010. All the best.
