Yes, you can do BCA after 12th with commerce background. You are eligible. Some university demand for an eligibility certificate for commerce background. Normally, commerce student's maths & technical side is weak and BCA require both the things. You have to face 2 maths subjects during BCA and learn various programming languages. So, if you're really interested in computer programming and can face maths subjects than go for BCA otherwise don't change your stream and go for managerial courses like CA, CS, BBA, B.Com, etc.

BCA is a three year degree programme, If you don't have mathematics in 10+2, you are eligible. But if you are looking at BCA programme which doesn't have mathematics in curriculum, its not possible. One good thing is: BCA would have maths but in a very limited level, which is easier. Also, if you pursue your BCA in top university like LPU, their teaching pedagogy will make it easier for you to understand, if there is still a problem they will help you out with the remedial classes. Candidate should possess B.Ed degree with at least 55% aggregate of marks.
