To prevent any delays in getting to the centre, choosing the practical NEET exam centre in 2024 is essential. Yes, you can do BCA after 12th with commerce background. You are eligible. Some university demand for an eligibility certificate for commerce background. Normally, commerce student's maths & technical side is weak and BCA require both the things. You have to face 2 maths subjects during BCA and learn various programming languages. So, if you're really interested in computer programming and can face maths subjects than go for BCA otherwise don't change your stream and go for managerial courses like CA, CS, BBA, B.Com, etc.

Placements have always been good. A big bunch of both MNCs and startups come for recruitment throughout the year. Although mainly the companies are IT firms, favouring IT and CSE candidates but other branch students too are allowed to apply for those jobs. Package values ranged from 2 lakhs per annum to 30 lakh per annum with many companies paying around 10-15 lpa. Companies like Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, DeShaw, PayPal, Erricson, Morgan Stanley, Direct, Blackrock are among regular recruiters in VIT. So placements in VIT are good for both CSE and IT branch.

No, Both the degrees are different. As they have different courses to teach. In B.com (hons) they focuses more on cost management, human resource, export management, etc. But B.com Finance and accounting focuses more on Taxation, auditing, cost accounting, etc. Basically BAF degree focuses more on CA subjects. So, this will help in CA preparation. And BAF degree is in trend these days.

Educator at University,

BCA is a three year degree programme, If you don't have mathematics in 10+2, you are eligible. But if you are looking at BCA programme which doesn't have mathematics in curriculum, its not possible. One good thing is: BCA would have maths but in a very limited level, which is easier. Also, if you pursue your BCA in top university like LPU, their teaching pedagogy will make it easier for you to understand, if there is still a problem they will help you out with the remedial classes.
