Candidates should have passed Class 10 and Class 12 examination from a recognised board or its equivalent with a minimum of with 35%-45% aggregtae. AIEM course admissions selection criteria are entirely based on WBJEE, JEE Main, WBJEE JELET and JEXPO. Apart from this, the institute also offers four Diploma (Voc) course in the stream of Civil Engineering, EE, ME and CSE.

AIEM offer five full-time BTech courses and five Lateral Entry courses. The full-time course duration is four years and three years for Lateral Entry. The BTech courses are offered in various specialisations such as CSE, ECE, EE, ME etc. A total of 90 seats are available for BTech full-time courses, respectively.

Admission to the BTech course at Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management is based on JEE Main scores. The institute offers five BTech and five Lateral Entry courses. For Lateral Entry admission, aspirants must complete Class 12 with a 45% aggregate.
