All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth. To decide on the course, you should analyse your strengths, career goals, interests, personality, aptitude and ability. If you decide based on these parameters you will put in your best effort and will be successful in your chosen field. Always remember, you should pursue a stream/course based on two things :
-your career goal
-the type of job you want to do

Unfortunately it will be difficult for you to get admission but you can get direct admission if you have good percentage
Also there might be a chance for you to get admission in IT branch.

Go in that college where cut off is high because there will you get better classmates. Classmates also matters along with feculty.

Except some teachers, rest are pretty average.

placement sucks at ABES

Civil engineering is in demand and ABES has in demand as it maintain its reputation in last many years. I think you have a chance to get it but for more confirmation you can contact ABES.

Yes, you can do b.tech from ABES college
You can get your preferred branch in the college through direct admission also.

I will be frank with you,
Unfortunately, only a few companies come for placement.
Its the same story in every private college.
So if you are planning on pursuing Civil branch, plan for Gate and IES for future.
