The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangalore are as follows:
Candidates must have passed the 12th examination with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
For B.Tech courses, candidates need to score a minimum of 45% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
Admission to the B.Tech programme is granted based on merit in entrance exams like JEE Main, KCET, COMEDK, group discussions, and personal interviews.

- Candidates interested in applying for B.Tech should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with 45% marks.
- For selection, they have to take the KCET or the COMEDK UGET entrance exam.
- After qualifying for the entrance examination, candidates should appear for the counselling process. The final admission will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination and counselling process.
- Cutoff vary from category to category based on no of reserved seats.

Applicant must have obtained a second PUC / 10 + 2 or equivalent in English as one of the languages with Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. Students waiting for the results may apply for a limited time.
