Indian students willing to take the ACT exam in 2025 must be prepared for huge changes that are going to take place in the patterna and format of the ACT exam in 2025. Here are a few changes that are going to take place in the ACT exam, starting September 2025:
- Shorter Test Duration: The ACT test's duration is going to reduce from 195 min to 125 min (approx.) with the total number of questions getting reduced from 215 to 171. However, this won't affect the efficacy of the exam. This will in fact allow students to have more time per question - which will reduce complexity and ease up the stress among Indian students.

There is no comparison between the difficulty level of SAT syllabus and ACT syllabus. Both are standardised tests which test undergraduate students on their previous knowledge of high school across various subjects. There are a lot of differences between ACT and SAT but they both solve the same purpose for abroad university admissions at the undergraduate level. SAT syllabus is majorly focussed on testing the applicants based on their logical skills while ACT syllabus tests the applicants' verbal ability and logical reasoning. SAT syllabus includes reading plus writing and Maths whereas, ACT syllabus includes English, Maths and Science
