Generally, students feel that the quality of food served in the hostel mess of Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology is satisfactory. Meals provided by the mess comprise vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, ensuring nutrition balance. Hygienic food is prepared in clean kitchens and meals are planned to suit regional tastes. The menu accommodates various tastes with changes based on students' inputs. While the food has been nutritious, it does disappoint some students with regards to taste or variety on a few occasions. The services are decent enough for those within the hostel.
