National Merit Scholarship
Based on the candidate’s performance in S.S.L.C examination whose parents annual income does not exceed Rs. 50,000 /-.will be awarded Rs. 300/-p.m.for hosteller and Rs. 120/-p.m for days scholars.
BC/MBC/DNC candidates whose annual family income should be less than or equal to INR 2,00,000 will be given a scholarship of INR 7,225/- per year approximately.
ST/SC candidates whose annual family income should be less than or equal to INR 2,50,000 will be given a scholarship of INR 19,500/- per year approximately.
CM Merit (Award)

Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology has well stocked Library, Hostel, Convenience Store, Cafeteria, Auditorium, Hospital / Medical Facilities, Sports Complex, Wi-Fi Campus and Lab facility for its students. Hostel has both Boys Hostel with 288 Rooms with 992 beds and Girls Hostel with In-Campus 175 Rooms with 629 Beds. Institute has 6 girls and 6 boys hostels with all basic necessities for undergraduate and postgraduate students accommodating about 1621 students. There are two hostel superintendents in one in-charge of administration and the other one in-charge of accounts and purchases, one deputy warden and one resident tutor in each hostel.
