Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in Entrance test conducted by the Army Welfare Education Society.
For candidates applying for Punjab resident civil category seats admissions is based on the marks obtained in 10+2.

Hi Gurpuneet, The number of students appearing for AIL LET is a little unpredictable. But, still on a rough estimate, take them to be around 30004000 students competing for 80 seats from all over the India. Until last year as far as I remember, the cut-off for LET is the highest for the civil CAT for around 130-135 marks. For the army CAT it is around 65-70 marks. If you talk about the ranking system, then people upto the rank of 90-100 get admission in the college. I hope this helps.

Hi Nidhi, counselling does hold a lot of importance. However, someone who's rank is much lower than you will not be preferred over you just because your interview was bad. It's just that all the other 134 AIR holders now have more chances of getting into it if their interviews were good.

Going by the rankings, India has around 1200 law colleges. Army Institute of Law has been consistently ranked in the top 20. The campus is quite small in comparison but manages to pack just enough facilities in order to get any law college up and running. It has two synthetic basketball courts, one volleyball court and also a field which doubles as a football/cricket ground. One major drawback is the library which is frankly, quite tiny but still fairly sufficient for a competent law school. The faculty is decent. They'll answer any kind of query with great enthusiasm and get to know y

Hi, There is no specific book for preparing for AIL. You can refer books from Universal Publication, you can also study the entire syllabus from Lexis Nexis. You should also solve a mock test of CLAT.
