Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 9783 and closing rank was 12143. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 15614 and 16910. Admission to Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Information Technology in IIITM Gwalior - Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIITM Gwalior encourages its students to participate in sports. The institute has a full-fledged building as well as game rooms in each hostel. IIITM Gwalior's sports complex contains a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a lawn tennis court, a basketball court, a billiards room, two squash courts, many table tennis boards, and multiple badminton courts. Aside from this complex, Boys' Hostel 1 has an extra billiards room, and Girls' Hostel has an additional gymnasium, an additional tennis court, one cricket ground, and one football field. IIITM Gwalior also hosts a number of athletic events, including Urja and Twaran, which are held each year in February or March.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is a scheme for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Architecture programmes offered by the leading Indian institutes. Candidates will get admission under the DASA scheme only if they meet the eligibility criteria. Admissions under the DASA scheme shall be done on the basis of the ranks obtained by the students in JEE Main. The basic eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the candidates are:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the other subjects (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology) from any system of education recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination with the above-mentioned subjects and expecting their final results by November 30 may also apply.
• Candidates must have qualified JEE Main.
