B.Sc. aviation candidate need to have completed their 10+2 with physical, chemistry and mathematics as main subject and achieve a minimum 50%. Age and medical fitness are also important consideration.

Academy of Aviation and Engineering, Sha Shib Group of Institutions applications are currently open for 2025 session. The institute has not released any deadline for now. However, candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out the chance. The mode of application is both online and offline for the institute.

Yes, Sha Shib Group conducts SSAT for admission to AME programme of Academy of Aviation and Engineering. The test is conducted once in a year in offline mode. There are 100 questions on the SSAT paper, each carrying one mark. Examinees will be given two hours to take the exam. Those who are selected based on SSAT score are offered seat in the institute.

So, after 12th — assuming you took Physics and Maths — the next step is finding a flying school that's approved by the DGCA. Before starting training, you'll need a Class 2 medical check-up first. Once that's cleared, you'll also go for a Class 1 medical. Then you can begin your CPL training. It's not just flying; you'll also study stuff like Air Regulations, Weather (Meteorology), and Navigation. After you complete your required flying hours and finish the classes, you can take the DGCA exams. If you pass those, you get your commercial pilot license.
