As such CPL is complete in itself, because it is a professional training programme and it grants you the privilege to fly any commercial aircraft for the purpose of remuneration. Airlines like Indigo, Jet Airways, Air India and Go Air are currently hiring candidates with CPL and no additional training is required. You may also do Type Rating after CPL which will allow you to apply as a CPL + Rated candidate for any particular fleet. It will have both pros and cons. You have already completed the minimum educational qualification for pursuing CPL training in India. Do verify that you had PCM in class 12th and scored at least 50% marks in the same. You can directly approach to flying school if you wish to do it from some private flying school. For IGRUA and NFTI you will have to go through the entrance exam to pursue training there.

Yes, it is a mandatory requirement set by the director general of civil aviation. It has to be justified by each and every candidate pursuing such training.

After getting a CPL comes the most important phase in the life of a pilot- type rating. You get to choose the plane you will fly throughout your career. Be wise and choose the plane that suits you. After getting your CPL, you can:
1. Go all alone for type rating
2. Apply for a job directly.

Being a commercial pilot is a prestigious job. You can get a job in any commercial airline provided you get through the selection procedure of the recruiting airline. The procedure requires you to be technically strong and good at your flying procedures. Nowadays, airlines in India are expanding and the average footfall at airports has increased tremendously. You will have to remain good at your books to get a job quickly after CPL.
