To become a pilot, it is necessary to opt for PCM in 10+2 and it is necessary to pass the same with at least 50%.
I think you are eligible for CPL.
The best flying schools are as follows :
1) CAE, Gondia (It is one of the best flying schools in India). The fees structure is INR 60 lakhs, but they have guaranteed jobs in Jet Airways, Indigo, Air India, etc.
Indigo Cadet Program which cost Rs 8 lakhs is to be done there, but they have guaranteed job in Indigo Airline.
2) Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi in UP is a government granted flying school.

It depends on how you work in the airlines. If you work hard for the airline then they give a guarantee to you for the permanent purpose. But if you are working in Air India, I think they couldn't offer you a permanent employment.

In India, the vacancies for pilots are less. So, a number of pilots are in the race to get a job in reputed airlines, but there is a lot of competition. In Asia, there are 150000 pilots needed. In India, a fresher pilot earns 2.5 lakhs per month or more but it depends on which airlines you work. Indigo, Jet Airways, Spice and Air Asia offer high scale salary to their pilots, but if compared to Air India, Air India offer a salary of almost 1.5 lakhs per month which is less than other airlines.

It is a critical question you, but I think Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) is one of the best flying schools in india because it is a government funded flying school which is DGCA approved. The Government of India controls this flying school. My opinion is that if you are interested to become a pilot, CAE, Gondia is one of the best flying schools in the world and they have guaranteed jobs. They also offer Indigo Cadet Program and Jet Airways Cadet Program (8 lakhs to 10 lakh rupees). It is a very costly flying school in India for CPL, it costs around Rs 60 lakhs or more.
But they have guaranteed jobs.

Aeronautical engineering is a study of design and systems of an aircraft. It involves practical and theoretical understanding of materials, assembling parts, testing and maintenance of aircrafts. And pilot is a person who operates the flying controls of an aircraft. Now, which is better? It really depends on you. If you want to build planes or design them, have interest and passion in that area then go for Aeronautical Engineering. If you have interest or passion of flying planes then become a pilot. You can also be a fighter pilot in IAF or you can be a commercial pilot. Choice is yours. Choose according to your interest.
Good luck.
