Total money depends on your ability to understand fundamentals of flying and how hard you work on theory and flying too.
And getting job is again depends on your ability to clear exams and interviews and sometimes your contacts.
Average cost 25 lakhs ( just for PPL, CPL, IR) and other costs depends.
There are many jobless pilots in India, some are really smart and some are just seating with CPL on hand ( no multi engine time ) and those who got ME have hardly few hours on Multi engine too.
I know few pilots who got some experience by working on Cessna caravan in Africa and when he came to india with about 450 hours of total time he got job in Indigo airlines.
And this guy who got about 2000 hours mostly PIC is afraid to convert his license because he thinks he won't get job in India.
There are many pilot but ask them about their experiences, from where they got trained and of course when was the last they flew.
I'm not against anyone or anything related to unemployed pilots but i believe if you really want it, you will find your way inside flight deck.
I worked for free for first 6 months at my first job to build job. And I was ready to go anywhere to find job.
I found and made my contacts before I graduated and as soon as I graduated and before even I had real hard copy of my FAA license I was flying commercially.
Later on I came across many job opportunities insight which really wanted low hour pilots which I even tried to pass on to few of my fellow pilot school people but they never applied.
Many people wish for ready made materials and job.
