To become a commercial pilot:
1. You need to first possess a student pilot license. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed 12th in Science (Physics and mathematics) with 50%.
2. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
3. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.
4. You need to register at a flying club which is recognised by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.

An applicant may be assessed as fit with hypermetropia not exceeding +5.0 dioptres, myopia not exceeding -6.0 dioptres, astigmatism not exceeding 2.0 dioptres, and anisometropia not exceeding 2.0 dioptres, provided that optimal correction has been considered and no significant pathology is demonstrated. Monocular visual acuities should be 6/6 or better.

They need to clear the entrance test exam of the flying schools in India, they also need to clear the physical fitness (which is tough one). Only totally fit person can get the opportunity to get admission in flying schools.
The cost of education is very high, it is around Rs 20- 25 Lacs. Many banks can give loan up to 50%.
After completion of education, they get the license of pilot. Airlines companies hire the successful candidates as a trainee.
The salary of a trainee is less. After successful completion of training periods, they are posted as a pilot.

Students who have passed 12th standard board examinations (any stream- science/arts/commerce) are eligible to apply for this course. In the case of some institutes, minimum marks criteria could be present (around 45-50% marks).

What you have decided to compare are really diverse things. To get a job in Google is real tough. You need to be in 95 percentile for campus selection. However, becoming a pilot is very simple. Join any institute in India or even in Malaysia) Australia / US and job is yours for asking in India.
