Hello, Yes, you can. Graduation subject has nothing to do with B.Ed subject. All the B.Ed colleges follow the syllabus prescribed by the NCTE. Though the name of books and authors may differ, all the colleges teach theory papers that deal with Educational Philosophy, Educational Psychology, School Administration, Learning Theories, Educational Thinkers, etc. Besides, all B.Ed courses have methodology papers where you have to choose one language and one School subject. As per the regulation, one can only be admitted to a B.Ed course if one has studied at least two School subjects in his graduation. But many colleges over look this criteria and accept students. The problem arises when, after the completion of the course, you apply for a government job. (KVS, NVS etc.). Suppose you have commerce or education or psychology or any other subjects like that which are not considered school subjects, you are not eligible for teaching post (TGT). It may not be a problem for the B.Sc. stream as all the Science subjects are school subjects but if you are from B.A. or B.Com background, try to fulfill the above criteria. These things do not matter if you want to work in the private sector or PGT in government sector. Hope this helps. Thanks.
