Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): Courses, Fees, Admission 2025, Placements, Ranking, Eligibility

Aligarh Muslim University, popularly known as AMU offers a two-year full-time Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to this course must visit the official website of the University to apply online. AMU B.P.Ed admission is based on candidates' performance in a Physical Fitness & Skill Test conducted by the department. The departmental test shall be held at the Aligarh campus only. The highest achievement certificate in sports from three previous academic sessions will also be considered for B.P.Ed admission at AMU. 

BTech admission at Aligarh Muslim University is provided based on the candidate's performance in AMUEEE. Hence, in order to take admission at AMU for BTech, candidates must visit the official AMU website and register for the entrance exam. This process can only be conducted in online mode. Following the entrance exam, candidates must register for the AMUEEE counselling. Candidates who secure the cut-off ranks decided by the university for various counselling rounds will be allotted seats for BTech at the university.

AMUEEE 2025 application process has ended. Candidates were able to fill out and submit the AMUEEE application form 2025 without late fee before the extended final date i.e., February 8, 2025. However, the authorities also accepted application with late fee until February 15, 2025. The official AMUEEE registration link was available online at amucontrollerexams.com. It is to be noted that only the registered candidates will be able to participate in the examination.

A nationwide entrance exam called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is required for admission to all undergraduate degrees at all central universities. Registration for CUET UG 2024 closed at 11:50 p.m. on April 5, 2024. The online application for CUET 2024 was open. The CUET 2024 admission card was made available by the National Testing Agency via exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ on May 29. The CUET 2024 exam for Delhi centres was originally planned for May 15, but the NTA has moved it to May 29. The CUET admit card and intimation slip can be downloaded by candidates who have paid the application fee and registered for the exam.

The Aligarh Muslim University has not yet released the schedule for MBA admission 2024 but based on the last year's schedule the AMU MBA admission process is likely to begin in February.

Aligarh Muslim University offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. AMU courses are being offered under AMU's 13 faculties, including Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology and Law, among others. At the undergraduate level, the University offers BSc (Hons), BA (Hons), MBBS, BE/ BTech, BVA, BCom (Hons), BArch, BVoc and BSc Nursing, among others. At the postgraduate level, AMU offers MA, MSc, MBA, MCom, MTTM, MTech, MVoc, LLM, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.Ed and M.P.Ed, among others. BTech in Computer Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University is a four-year programme. It comprises various core and elective subjects. Students are taught the practical and theoretical aspects of all these subjects. Listed below are some subjects included in the AMU BTech curriculum:

For AMUEEE, the candidates will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. The level of AMUEEE syllabus will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination syllabus. The BA (Hons) in Economics at AMU is spread over a period of three years. The duration of the programme is further divided into six semesters. Some subjects covered in the course curriculum are listed below:

During 2022 placements, 181 out of 219 BA LLB students were placed. Earlier, 179 out of 219 students were placed during 2021 placements. For LLM, 10 out of 35 were placed during 2022 placements. In 2021, 7 out of 35 LLM students were placed. Faculty of Law AMU offers 240 seats in the BA LLB program. 120 of these seats are available in AMU Aligarh, and the remaining seats are available in the AMU centers at Malappuram and Murshidabad. If you wish to join the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University as a student, you neeed to fulfill certain eligibility criterions, which are as follows:-

• You must have cleared the Senior Secondary Examination (12th) with aggregate 50& marks from any recognised board like CBSE, UP Board etc./ any university.
• Even if you do not fulfill the above criteria, AMU offers a Bridge Course to cover the gap between the students conforming the first eligibility criteria and the students who have not secured 50% marks in 10+2.
• Age Criteria: Your age should not be more than 22 years as of 1st July at the time of respective year of admission.
• If you are a Deeni Madrasis graduate who must need to complete  the bridge course offeredv by AMU with a minimum of 50% score.

The Faculty of Law, AMU is located in Uttar Pradesh India. It offers courses like BA LLB (Bachelor's in Arts with Bachelors in Law) and LLM Programme (Master of Laws). If we assess the costs to be incured for studying this courses; it is found that the total fees for the 5-year BALLB Programme at AMU is INR 1,01,6,720 and for the 2-year LLM Programme is INR 4.1 lakhs, The fees amount only includes the course fees and not the fess  need to be paid at the time of admission neither the hostel fees. The application fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 700 without late fees and INR 1000 with late fees. The registration fee for the 2023 BALLB programme is INR 900, with an additional INR 300 late fee. So it can be inferred that the faculty of Law, AMU is pretty costly for students belonging from middle-class families.

Faculty of Law at AMU (Aligarh Muslim University) is one of the oldest educational departments in our country, especially in the education of law at India. So, Yes the Faculty of Law, AMU is a recognised college that was established in 1883 offering programme courses of BA LLB and LLM. The department of Law here is thereby approved through the Bar Council of India (BCII) which represents and regulates the law bars of India. the faculty is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) giving it the ability to provide degrees to the students in the field of law. The AMU faculty of Law s also known popularly as the "mother faculty' due to the fact that it has produced many legal icons of the country. It generally ranks at the position of 5/6 in the list of India's best law colleges.
