M.A in mass communication (MAMC) is a post-graduate course offered in the domain of mass media at university-level in India. The course focuses on ideas and outlets of mass communication such as media production, cultural issues, communication theories, regulations and media techniques.
The basic eligibility for admission to M.A Mass Communication program is a Bachelor or equivalent degree in any stream. Though it is not compulsory to have a Bachelor degree in Journalism or Mass communication, it certainly gives an edge. There is no restriction with respect to the stream of education in graduation. * BBA is more 'business' oriented than B.Com.
It offers more case studies, projects and internships which means more learning than B.Com. BBA if done from the right place can do wonders else not because it is still looked down upon in comparison toB.Com (H). *B.Com is a wholesome course covering everything in commerce which is why fetches more jobs than BBA. ~Commerce is a wide field in which management comes. Commerce has everything from marketing to finance to stocks and beyond. You can do MCA without mathematics in HSC, but only if you have studied mathematics in your B.Com. If you have done your graduation via distance learning, then pursue a 1-year PGDCA and with that eligibility, you can pursue MCA (direct II year) by Lateral Entry Scheme.
