The selection criteria for the B.E. / B.Tech. course at Sri Venkateswaraa College of Technology are entirely merit-based. Admission is determined by your performance in the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling process. You must have passed your 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. After you appear for the TNEA counseling, your final selection is made based on your TNEA rank. The college also has management quota seats, which offer a separate admission pathway.

The eligibility criteria for the B.E. / B.Tech. programme at Sri Venkateswaraa College of Technology are standard and clear. You must have completed your 10+2 (Higher Secondary) education from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. To gain admissions into K J Somaiya Institute of Technology BTech courses, candidates must score at least 50% minimum aggregate in their class 12 board exams. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC, etc. categories are eligible if they score a minimum of 45% aggregate in their class 12 board exams. Candidates must also pass Class 12 in PCM or PCB stream to be eligible for BTech admissions as K J Somaiya Institute of Technology.
