If you see master chefs arounds like Kunal Kapoor, Raveer Brar, Sanjeev Kapoor all have done degree in Hotel management first and then they opted and followed their passion of culinary. Hotel MAnahement is whole package not just specialisation. BAsic should be industry specific and specialisation should be domain. institions like AAFT - SOHT and IHMs across India gives plethora of opportunites for the same.

The total number of seats available for the BE courses in 2026 is currently unknown. Last year, each specialisation of BE had a total of 60 seats available during admissions. However, the BE in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) course only had 30 seats for allotment. There are a 5 specialisations of BE available at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus, making the total BE seat intake at the institute 270 seats.

With a KCET rank of 52,000 for BE Computer Science & Engineering, getting into top Karnataka colleges (like RVCE, PES, BMSCE, MSRIT) is highly unlikely, as these usually require ranks within top 1,000–3,000.

You can consider:

  • Lower-tier NITs/Private colleges in Karnataka

  • State colleges with available CSE seats in later counselling rounds

  • Other branches like ECE, IT, or Mechanical as backup.

Yes, the Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE) 2025 for B.Ed. admissions may conduct a second and a third round of counselling depending on the availability of vacant seats after the first round. Generally, the second list or round is released a few days after the first list, followed by a waiting list round if seats remain unfilled. The official schedule and further rounds are announced separately by NCERT or the respective RIEs on their official websites.
