Its a good thought that you are aiming for UPSC right from your 12th. It totally depends on your field of interest.
In preliminary exam, you need to study entire subject irrespective of the branches to crack it.
Once you qualify that, you are supposed to write main exam, where you have an option to choose the subjects of your interest.
From BTech, you can only choose Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering as optional subjects.
Whereas if you pursue BSc in few specialisations like Physics, Chemistry etc then you can take up the same as an optional subject.

If you are interested in Science field, then proceed with BSc. If you are highly interested in Computer science then go ahead with BCA. Both the fields have equal job opportunities.

Better go for BCA. Then, you can go for MCA, or PGD in CA or MSc IT or MIM or PGPCS, or even MBA.

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University, that was established in 2008. It is the only university in the country imparting education in the maritime field. It has an All-India jurisdiction and the headquarters is at Chennai. It has campuses at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Cochin and Kandla Port.
