The cutoff marks for B.Sc depends upon various specializations. However, the general cutoff for most majors is 70% to 90%. Here is a breakdown of the cut off marks for each B.Sc department: Physics: 80% Chemistry: 85% Mathematics: 75% Botany: 70% Zoology: 70%.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University accepts entrance examinations for some courses. However, for some programmes the universuty offers merit-based admissions.  For BSc admissions, Avadh University accepts direct admission and the eligibility criteria is Class 12 with relevant subject and a mimimum 45% in intermediate or equivalent. Additionally, it may also accept CUET for selection.  KCLAS (Kovai Kalaimagal Arts and Science College) in Coimbatore, does not require any separate entrance exam scores for admission to the BSc programs .

The BSc admission eligibility and process at KCLAS is based on: -

Performance in Class 12 / Higher Secondary Examinations:-
For regular admissions, the candidate should have passed the HSC/+2 or equivalent level exam with required subjects from a recognised board. 

Direct Applications and Selection Process: -

The placements for BSc programs at KCLAS (Kovai Kalaimagal Arts and Science College) Coimbatore seem decent but have scope for improvement. Here are some  key observations :-
