According to India Today and The Week, IHM is ranked 15th and 18th in hotel management, respectively. The college provides Diploma programmes in a number of disciplines in addition to BSc programmes in hospitality and hotel administration. The three-year (six-semester) full-time regular BSc programme at IHM Gurdaspur provides students with all the abilities, information, and mindset needed to effectively carry out supervisory tasks in the hospitality industry. The Indira Gandhi National Open University and the National Council for Hotel Management jointly offer the programme. Numerous career paths have become available for this course due to the global expansion and development of tourism. 

The BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is the only specialty offered by the Institute of Hotel Management, Gurdaspur. The National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University jointly provide the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration programme. The three-year, six-semester full-time regular course gives students all the abilities, information, and mindset needed to effectively carry out their supervisory duties in the hospitality industry. In-depth laboratory work is another component of the programme that helps students gain the necessary knowledge and proficiency in the operational domains of food production, food and beverage service, front office operation, and housekeeping.
