Students admitted to IIT Kharagpur's (Hons.)/Dual Degree/BBS Programs through JEE (Advanced) are only eligible to change their branch after fulfilling a set of rules. The students can change their branch after the second (spring) semester. The branch change cutoff for mathematics and computing in 2017–18 was 9.60. To be eligible, students must have obtained a GPA not lower than 8.5 at the end of the second (spring) semester, excluding the below subjects:

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering at IIT Delhi other than General category are - 243 for OBC, 155 for SC, 96 for ST, 85 for EWS, and 23 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Yes, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has launched a new course B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing. Admission to the four-year course will be granted through the Joint Entrance Examination JEE Advanced channel and the programme will start in August 2022. Yes, because the CRL is the common rank list and is the same as the overall rank. It consists of all the candidates (of all the categories and General). For the General category, only the CRL is considered while for other candidates, both the reserved category list and CRL are considered.

"Candidates who have completed graduation with minimum 50% w English and Mathematics as major subjects are eligible to pursue a postgraduate degree in mathematics". If this criteria is followed, then only, M.Sc. Is possible in Maths.
