NIT Meghalaya offers good placements for its BTech courses annually. The course-wise placement details are yet to be released on the official website. However, the overall the highest and average package offered during NIT Meghalaya placements in 2024 was INR 46.3 LPA and INR 9.7 LPA, respectively. The key highlights of NIT Meghalaya placements for the Class of 2023 and 2024 are tabulated below:

Placement for B.Tech are quite impressive in School of Engineering and Technology.
The average placement package offer in year 2023 was 6LPA INR.
The lowest placement package offer was 4.2LPA INR Given by TCS.
The highest placement package was given by Infosys which was 12LPA INR .
This years placement drive brief statistics data has been released on official college website.
The Percentage of students successfully placed were 82%.
But the students justify that the unplaced students opt for higher degree or gone with startup.
So practically every student gets placed either oncampus or oncampus.

Both have good placements at the School of Engineering and Technology, since B.Tech has a vast opportunity option and the ECE Branch would make more sense.
As with the ECE branch one can conqueror not even programming jobs but also the electronics sector.
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): opt for this if you are interested in software development, programming, and computer technologies. CSE has the highest placement package.Electronics and
- Communication Engineering (ECE): Suitable for those interested in communication systems, embedded systems, and electronic devices along with programming.

BTech placements are good. There are many students placed in this college. Almost 70% students got placed every year but the highest package offered was of only INR 4.25 lakhs, average was INR 3.25 Lacs and the lowest was only INR 2.25 lakhs. So you have to think about it. Almost all students are placed, but getting packages is average only .!

The fees for B.Tech in Manipur University costs around INR 1,00,000 for the entire course. Admissions are accepted through the national level entrance examination - JEE.
Manipur University has a placement record for around 70 percent. Recruiters like TCS, ICICI Bank among many others select the young talents and recruit them on an average package of INR 6 Lacs Per annum.
