A candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates) to be eligible for the B.Tech programme offered by Maharaja Agrasen University, and for Lateral Entry, the candidate must have passed a Diploma in a relevant stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate.

Yes, Agni College of Technology offers admission to a three-year BTech (Lateral Entry) course. For admission to BTech (LE), candidates can directly apply for the second year of the course. Before applying for the course, aspirants must pass either Class 12 or Diploma with minimum 50% aggregate with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects. Admission to this course is done through TNEA Counselling process.

In order to get admission to BTech course at Agni College of Technology, candidates must pass the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects are eligible to apply for this course. Agni College of Technology BTech admissions are entirely based on merit scores obtained in Class 12 and TNEA counselling. Aspirants must apply for TNEA counselling. Although admission to BE/ BTech programme at TIET is conducted through JEE Main.  Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology accepts JEE Main scores as well as merit for admisison to the BE/ BTech courses. Based on the JEE Main score and Class 12 scores, candidates are then called for the TIET Counselling process. Admissions for vacant seats (if any) in subsequent rounds of counselling is done based on All India rank (AIR) of JEE Main 2023 as a tie breaker. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at CMR College of Engineering and Technology has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 17867. In 2023, it decreased to 17573. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 30923 to 30973 for OBC, 63157 to 80092 for SC, 21674 to 15648 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
