Yes, candidates need to qualify AMCAT or JEE Main or any other National/ State Entrance Exam. The university also accepts CUET UG for all BTech specialisations except 3-Continent. Candidates wishing to get admission to BTech or Integrated BTech Biotechnology can also get admission based on NEET score. After all the rounds of selection are completed, candidates receive provisional offer letters. Shortlister candidates need to bring all the specified documents for verification and pay the fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Students pursuing BTech CSE from Jamia Hamdard have to choose an elective during the course. Professional Electives are introduced in four threads besides the Open Elective. There are 6 slots for Professional Electives and 4 slots for Open Electives. The department may permit students to take 50% of these (Professional electives + open electives) from other disciplines, based on the choices of the students and Consent of Course advisors.
