It is one of the top universities among the others in the area. As per the university NIRF 2022 report, 491 students were placed in 2021 placements drive. Further, the median package offered to the UG (4-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 6 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters were TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, etc.

Admission to the Bangalore University UG Diploma courses is done based on students' performance in the last qualifying exam. Only the students who fulfil the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply. The application procedure is carried out in online mode. Aspirants can visit the university's official website (bangaloreuniversity.ac.in) to submit the admission form. For selection, the applicants aggregate in Class 12 or an equivalent examination is taken into consideration.

TSEC Mumbai offers only one UG course, i.e., Bachelor of Engineering (BE). The college offers UG and doctoral courses in the streams of Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, etc. Admission to technical UG courses such as BE is accepted either through a state-level MHT CET or national-level JEE Main entrance exams.  Also the college offers PhD in TSEC offers doctorate programmes in Information Technology, Computer Engineering & Electronics & Telecommunication Departments.

To take admission in UG courses, students must clear Class 12 from a recognised board. Final selection is made on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the university or merit in Class 12. For PG courses, candidates need to have a valid bachelor's degree in the relevant field from Karnataka University or an equivalent university. It is also imp that the students has passed the qualifying examination with the required aggregate as prescribed by the authorities. Further, the final selection criteria vary from course to course.

There is no upper age limit for pursuing UG programmes offered at AKTU but candidates need to be at least 16 years of age as of December 31 of the current academic year to pursue any of these courses.
