You may apply August onwards of the year 12th i.e. high school senior year through common application, University of California system of application, State University of New York portal or Apply Texas for universities in Texas for undergraduate degree. Remember to have the SAT & TOEFL around the same time & have SAT subject test etc. done too in case the university requires before the deadlines in November & December/January.

You need not to worry as SAT is not required for Indian applicants completing class 12th. Make sure you apply by 31st March for the same.
