BCA Course: Eligibility Candidates who wish to pursue BCA course must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria. Pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognised board of education. English as a subject of study. A minimum aggregate score of 45% at 10+2 level. Some colleges prefer students from Science stream or those who have studied Mathematics and Computer Science at 10+2 level. BCA Course: Admission For admission to BCA course, a student must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria as mentioned above. Admission to regular BCA course is generally done through a common entrance test conducted by respective universities.

The study period of BCA includes various subjects such as Programming in C Language (Basic and Advanced), Networking, World-Wide-Web, Data Structure, Advanced C Language Programming, Database Management, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Object Oriented Programming using C+, Visual Basic, Programming using PHP, Java, Oracle, Operating Systems, Web Scripting and Development, etc. The course curriculum of BCA is somewhat similar to the course as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).

BCA is a 3-year UG Level Bachelor's Degree programme. The course structure is quite similar to the traditional B.Sc Programme. The 3 years duration is divided into 6 semesters, each lasting a period of 6 months. During each semester, students have to face different sets of written exams as well as practical and lab sessions. In simple terms, BCA programme has lots to do with Computer Science and programming. Students are given knowledge on topics like Programming languages, hardware and software, computer networks, World Wide Web, Database Management, Logic, Multimedia, etc.
