Most of the good universities and institutes have maths as eligibilty criteria at 10+2 stage for BCA and MCA. You will miss joining such colleges. However, you may able to BCA-MCA from few colleges who allow non-maths students to join BCA and MCA. You may evaluate Symbiosis.

As you do not like maths it will be advisable to go for BBA+MBA as both B.Sc and BCA will have maths as compulsory subjects in their syllabus.

You do not need to mention the year gap in your resume. Based on your resume, if the interviewer asks about the year gap, then you should answer honestly.

Hi Darshitta,
What you want to study is completely your choice. Go through university's websites and see the programs they offer, figure out what interests you. Have a career plan ahead so that you can decide. If you are interested in further studies in computing look for a PG Diploma or MS in related field.

Scope and opportunities for BCA graduates are very less and lower in position and salaries in comparison to B.Tech CSE graduates. BCA graduates get job opportunities like a developer, tester, and operators in SMEs only. B.Tech CSE graduates are hired by top MNCs and large IT companies. BCA graduates have to plan education up to MCA for a meaningful career in the IT and ITES industries.

MCA does have some good scope, it gives an advanced edge. If you want to get in the teaching field then it is a very good choice and even from the point of placements, it is good.
