If you wish to remain completely in the technical line, you should go for MCA. An MCA graduate is considered equivalent to a B.Tech graduate in terms of knowledge provided in the syllabus.
On the other hand, MBA provides you the knowledge to manage a business and its administration. It comes out quite useful, if you are planning to start your own business later on.
Both the streams are equally good with ample opportunities. Which stream do you want to choose depends on your interest.
You need to have a minimum of 60 percent or 6.0 CGPA (First class division) in BCA to be able to take admission in MCA or MBA in most of the colleges.
However, on a personal note, I would like to advice you to keep a percentage of over 75 to be eligible for placement interviews in most companies while you will be in the final year of MCA/MBA.

First of all you should know what you are approaching, embedded systems is loads of programming, where 128 mb is still lots of RAM in that universe of embedded programming. So if you are Interested in loads of coding where you want your software to affect your physical things and whats happening at the bottom of the architecture then you are at the right place, so get prepared. First check out that there are many good hobbyist embedded platforms available now (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Particle, etc). They have lots of great communities to participate in and learn from. So you get the idea of whats going on. Now, on to your question, after BCA you will only have some programming skills, so its better you start working besides doing your course BCA whenever you get time. You can start with communities which I have mentioned above as they will give you a clear picture.

2) Learning of Basics Electronics important [you just need a basic understanding of voltage, current, power, resistance, ohms law. You probably can get by with just a few online tutorials and some experimenting with online simulators and/or real circuits.].
3) Get the EQUIPMENT soldiering iron, digital multi-meter and A hardware debugger/ JTAG adapter (such as an ST-Link, or OLMEX adapter),
4) Choose your Micro Controller and tool chain, so now you have all the fundamentals and you are ready to code. If you are interested in all of the above, you are on right track. If all of the above doesn't match with your interest, get a normal professional training after BCA like a training in SAP/Networking/JAVA.

You should try to get admission in a regular course if possible because BCA is mostly based on skills and with distance mode it will be difficult for you to grasp as it is your first step in this field. There are many good universities, which will offer you good exposure and also job opportunities after completion. You should try to go for admission in the best available regular course to make your future bright.
Correspondence course is for those, who are already doing their job or people who don't have time for regular classes due to family problems. If you can go for regular classes, then it will be better for you. Most of the BCA students go for MCA because most of the top IT companies favour MCA graduates.
